What will 2020 look like for you?

So what needs to change? I guess that depends on what you perceive isn’t working the way it should…or goals that are desired but not being met. Frankly, unless you are incredibly satisfied with everything in your business and life, then something needs to change.

There may be several things that should change but let’s focus on one for the moment – your web presence.

Web presence. It is an enormous term especially when you contemplate the size and magnitude of the internet. What does it mean, to you, to understand your web presence? In short, it’s how easily you are found and how readily you are engaged online. Or not.

It’s the ‘or not’ reality that we will focus on for the remainder of this article.

Often people define web presence as having a web site and while this is partly correct, it is not the complete definition. Having a website is essential but it doesn’t fully define your web presence. The other components you have to consider is how you appear in social media, organic searches and to your prospects.

If your web presence is not consistent, confident, compelling and comprehensive…well frankly, your web presence sucks. Fortunately, it can be fixed. The challenge is the size (and cost) of the task of fixing it. While that is the challenge, ignoring it and thinking it doesn’t matter is simple ignorance. In today’s economic environment, your web presence will directly impact your sustainability, growth and profits. It really is that simple.

Often, when we begin a dialogue with a prospect (or an existing client who is waking up to this reality), they are overwhelmed with the enormity of figuring out where or how to start in solving this problem. Since every industry is unique, it does take some effort to develop a strategy for them but that is always the starting point.

Understanding your business climate, competitive factors and your goals is mandatory in the development of your strategic plan and will impact the timeline and budget for implementation.

We know that budgets are always a factor – literally 100% if the time. It’s easy to say I want or need to take action. It’s much harder to pay for that action. So understanding that reality, we being the process by completing a Discovery. By interviewing you, getting your perspective, and researching your industry, we will create a strategic plan that will outline how to impact your web presence. Included in the plan is a time, resource and cost estimate so practical decisions can be made that align with realistic accomplishments. Once these elements are defined, reasonable decisions can be made on how and when to implement the components of the plan.

It does take courage to implement change. The good news is that you have the option. You can swallow hard and take the first step in making change happen or remain stagnant in the same spot and allow change to impact you. Either way, things will change.

Now is the time. It’s not tomorrow or next week or even next year. If you want your web presence to contribute and make a positive impact on your business, it’s time for you to take the first step and call us. Let’s work together and develop the strategic plan that will define how to impact the change you want.
